Makaton Level 2
The course is divided into 2 sections Module 1 and Module 2. You will learn stages 3 and 4 of the Makaton Core vocabulary and some additional signs and symbols.
This course is recommended for parents and carers of those using or thinking about using Makaton at home and those working with children or adults who would benefit from Makaton.
The course set over 3 sessions. Tuesday evenings, 16th, 23rd and 30th April 2024!
All sessions are online using Zoom.
Participants must attend all sessions to receive their Makaton Level 2 certificate. There will be no refunds if you cannot make a session. You must have completed a Makaton Level 1 course before attending this Level 2 course.
You will receive your manual before the course starts.

Makaton Level 1
The course is divided into 2 sections Module 1 & 2. You will learn stages 1 and 2 of the Makaton Core vocabularly and some additional signs and symbols.
This course is recommended for parents and carers of those using or thinking about using Makaton at home and those working with children or adults who would benefit from Makaton.
The course takes place over 3 evenings and you must attend all sessions to be able to claim your certificate.
The dates are the 20th Feb, 27th Feb and 5th March. 7:30pm - 9:30pm with one break.

Makaton Taster - Christmas
This is a fantastic session for people wanting to start their Makaton journey. You’ll learn about 40 signs from the Makaton Core Vocabularly and 12 extra signs on Christmas theme.
This is an online session so you will need a computer or mobile device with Zoom installed. To fully participate in this session having a Mic and camera is also needed.
The cost includes tuition, resources emailed after the event and an attendance certificate.
This is a fun Christmassy session with a few Christmas carols mixed in.
Makaton Taster - Back to School
This is a fantastic session for people wanting to start their Makaton journey. You’ll learn about 40 signs from the Makaton Core Vocabularly and 12 extra signs on a Back to School Theme.
This is an online session so you will need a computer or mobile device with Zoom installed. To fully participate in this session having a Mic and camera is also needed.
The cost includes tuition, resources emailed after the event and an attendance certificate.

This course is reccommended for parents and carers of those using or thinking about using Makaton at home and those working with children or adults who would benefit from Makaton.

Makaton Taster – Christmas!
If you're interested in learning Makaton, the Taster sessions are a great place to start. Come along and learn some Makaton signs and symbols, this sessions theme is 'Christmas'!
This session is suitable for parents, carers, and professionals who would like an introduction to Makaton. Participants will receive emailed handouts covering the vocabulary they have covered.
Makaton Level 1 Course

Makaton Signing Santa School
A Makaton Taster session for those working as a Santa or elf over the festive period. Come along and join us at the start of the festivities, we will teach the relevant Makaton signs and symbols to use as Santa when meeting individuals with communication needs. Help make your grotto inclusive for all!
This session is suitable for those who work within a Santa Grotto setting or as an independent Santa / Mother Christmas / Elf.
Participants will receive emailed handouts covering the vocabulary they have covered.
